BALTIMORE — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash that happened back in July in East Baltimore.

Police said 58-year old Wayne Richardson was riding his bike at 10:58 p.m on July 30, traveling westbound in the 2800 block of E. Madison Street.

Investigators believe the vehicle may have been driving in the same direction and made a brief stop after hitting Richardson. When officers arrived, the suspect was not on the scene.

Richardson was taken to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators leading the case believe the car that struck the victim was a dark colored four door sedan. The vehicle should have heavy front end damage and could be missing the front bumper.

Anyone with information on this vehicle or its occupants is asked to call detectives at 410-396-2606.
