BALTIMORE — A special prayer service was held Sunday for the class of 2020.
It was announced last month, the Institute of Notre Dame was closing for good and that means 2020 is likely, the last graduating class for the historic school.
About 30 alumnae have formed a grassroots group, known as Saving IND, to do everything possible to save the school.
“What goes through my mind is this is not something we can let happen. We're doing everything we can to make sure what we perceive as an incorrect decision is corrected."
IND which first opened 173 years ago, is set to close on June 30th.
The group "Saving IND" said they're open to discussing preserving the tradition and history of the school at another location.
