Posted

Johns Hopkins University is considering adding security or a police force.

Monday is the first of several public forums on whether or not they should make the change over the next few weeks.

The General Assembly refused to give Johns Hopkins University and other private colleges in Baltimore the power to create police departments with armed officers.

This first meeting runs from 6-8 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. and it is suggested attendees pre-register.

The forum will take place at the Bloomberg Center for Physics and Astronomy, Norman I. Schafler Auditorium on North Charles Street.

Complimentary parking begins at 5:15 p.m. in the parking garage across from the Steven Muller Building on San Martin Drive.
