Public hearing on BPD Consent Decree

A public hearing on the Baltimore Police Department's compliance with the Consent Decree will be held Thursday. 

The Monitoring Team will give a report on the BPD's progress in completing the rules outlined in the Decree. The DOJ and BPD will also provide reports on the department. In addition, the Monitoring Team will discuss areas for reform in the First-Year Monitoring Plan. 

U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar set a schedule for the Baltimore Police Monitoring Team to give updates on the police department's compliance with the Consent Decree. 

The next scheduled meetings are as follows: 

  • October 9, 2018 

  • January 10, 2019 

The meetings will be held at the United States Courthouse on West Lombard Street. They start at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 1A.
