Radio outage forces Baltimore Police Department to operate on emergency channel.
Spokesperson T.J. Smith took to social media Thursday afternoon to discuss the issue further:
Contingency plans in place for radio outage. Not affecting calls into 911. @BaltimorePolice operating on emergency channel.

According to police, 911 calls are not affected and there are steps in place to resolve the problem.
We are on the phone with @MotoSolutions as we speak to resolve the greater issue.

There is no word how long the radio outage will last at this time.
