BALTIMORE — The Maryland Transportation Authority will temporarily shut down parts of the Fort McHenry Tunnel for this weekend’s 5K Fort McHenry Tunnel Run and Walk.

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, the northbound right tube (Bore 4) of the I-95 Fort McHenry Tunnel will close and be re-opened by Sunday at noon.

During that time, all northbound traffic will be directed through the northbound left tube (Bore 3).

Barriers will be set up to separate traffic from runners in the toll plaza area during the event.

Other closures include the exit 56 ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue. A detour will instead direct traffic to exit 57 at Boston Street, to southbound I-95, back to Keith Avenue.

All closures are weather permitting according to MDTA.
