BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A well known restaurant in Charles Village has been shut down due to health code violations.

On Thursday, the Baltimore City Health Department ordered the Ledo Pizza in the 3100 block of St. Paul Street to temporarily close its doors, citing rodent infestation, unsanitary conditions and an expired food license.

Ledo Pizza first opened in Adelphi, Maryland in 1955 and has since become a franchise with dozens of locations throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

It's unclear when the restaurant will be permitted to re-open.
