Children's voices rang out across Fort McHenry and the harbor Tuesday.
It was the 5th annual Salute to the Schooners.
Over 200 Baltimore city students sang patriotic songs along with the Navy's official chorus.
Brian Schneckenburger, the coordinator of Fine Arts for Baltimore City Public Schools, said the students also got to learn about ships and the history of the Star Spangled banner.
"To be able to connect that with what's here at Fort McHenry in terms of American history and to be able to personalize that as a citizen of Baltimore and as an American citizen, particularly in this election season, what does it mean to me to connect with this music and this place?" he said.
Tuesday's Salute to the Schooners was seen as a great kick off for Baltimore's Fleet Week.
