BALTIMORE — Nearly 1,500 tree industry professionals donated a full day of work at veterans cemeteries across the country to celebrate the 5th annual Day of Service Wednesday.
In Baltimore, arborists and volunteers with Saluting Branches helped honor veterans by cleaning up trees at the Baltimore National Cemetery
Saluting Branches is a nonprofit organization that honors veterans by donating tree care.
Volunteers started working on the 72-acre site Wednesday morning. They finished around 3 p.m.
