A school bus carrying 40 children was involved in crash in Baltimore City Friday afternoon, police said.
The collision happened around 1 p.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Lombard Street, according to Baltimore Police.
Police believe the bus was headed westbound on Lombard Street when it collided with three cars headed northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Officers are on the scene of a vehicle collision at MLK Blvd and Lombard Street involving a school bus. Expect traffic delays in the area.

About 40 kids from North Bend Elementary School were on the bus at the time of the accident.
The drivers of the two cars and the bus driver were all taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries that didn't appear life-threatening.
Update: MLK Blvd and Lombard Street. None of the injuries reported are life threatening. PIO on the scene. Traffic delays remain in area.

The children were also taken to area hospitals as a precaution.
A second bus responded to take students and teachers from the scene and Police Commissioner Kevin Davis joined them on the ride.
