BALTIMORE — Electrical fires closed two MTA subway stations and caused major delays in all directions Thursday morning.
The fires broke around the track level at the Johns Hopkins and Mondawmin Stations.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames, but the stations remain closed for repairs.
Officials say the Johns Hopkins Station was flooded from the sprinkler system that activated during the fire.
MTA has put a temporary bus bridge in place from Charles Center to Johns Hopkins Station.
West Coldspring to State Center is currently only getting by on a single track.
