Man charged with murder; victim dies from stabbing to neck

BALTIMORE — Police arrested and charged a man for murder Wednesday morning on Baltimore's West-side.

Officers were notified about a walk-in victim at St. Agnes Hospital, Wednesday at 2:45 a.m. Police said a 25-year-old man had a stab wound to his neck and was pronounced dead, less than an hour later.

Homicide detectives leading the investigation learned that the stabbing happened at an apartment in the 3300 block of Windsor Avenue.

Later that morning, investigators identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant before arresting 22-year-old Jonathan Calloway.

The department said, Calloway has been charged with 1st Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

He was taken to Central Booking where he is now waiting to see a court commissioner.
