Teen dies and others injured in a crash in Westport

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a deadly crash in South Baltimore Sunday night.

According to the department, investigators believe the driver of a 2006 Infinity G35x lost control while driving in the 2800 block of Annapolis Road in Westport.

That's when the car struck a 2016 Ford van traveling in the opposite direction. Police said at the time of the crash, there were four teens in the Infinity and all were taken to local hospitals. A 16-year-old boy died from his injuries in the hospital.

Officials identified the driver as an 18-year-old boy, who was treated and released. The passengers included a 15-year-old boy, who was released with the driver and a 17-year-old bot in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford, a 29-year-old man was taken to a local hospital and has been released.
