BALTIMORE — A doctor from Texas is apologizing for a tweet he posted about Baltimore, over the weekend, saying his daughter was attacked by Black Lives Matters protestors.

Dr. Andrea Natale is a prominent cardiologist at Saint David Medical Center in Austin. He posted on twitter Sunday afternoon saying, "My daughter called in tears. She was driving with her boyfriend in Baltimore and their car was attacked by a group of BLM. It was damaged and her boyfriend was beaten. She filmed it and called police but they cannot do anything because they are African American. Is this the America we want?"

Shortly after the post was made, several people who follow police scanners spoke up. One person in particular said they archive Baltimore police radio traffic and heard about the incident, stating it was squeegee kids, not protestors.

Here's what was said on the scanner traffic: "It's the squeegees at Lombard and President. This lady, Veronic, is calling and says they are attacking the car. Thinks one of them pulled a knife.... Okay, it's gone from one of them she thinks pulled a knife to now they all threw rocks at her car and broke the car window... Number two female passenger were fighting with the squeegee kids on location then the vehicle was damaged and they got out and started fighting them."

Police did respond to the scene, we are waiting for more information from Baltimore Police.

After Dr. Natale got backlash on twitter he apologized. He said, "I was worried about my daughter and I jumped to conclusion based on the information I had at the time. I've dedicated my entire professional career to healing people from all backgrounds, and I regret that my words were misinterpreted and created hurt and pain. It was not my intention." Dr. Natale posted this from his hospital's twitter page. His personal page is now private and the original tweet was deleted.
