BALTIMORE — There's often supply drives for students, but The Startup Nest is focusing on helping out teachers by giving away bags full of school supplies.

Each bag was filled with paper, crayons, hand sanitizer and more. The group not only gave Baltimore City teachers supplies, but a little pampering as well with massages, food and drinks on Thursday.

Some teachers that attended said they go over their budget buying things for their students every year and are extremely grateful for The Startup Nest to be doing something to help them.

They appreciate teachers and its such an awesome thing," said BCPS teacher, Victoria Lyons. "We work so hard and do so much for students and we go over our budget all the time."

These teachers say they've never been to an event like this in their years of teaching here. The Start Up Nest hopes to make this a regular event to thank the teachers.
