The father of the lone sergeant to stand trial on charges of robbery, extortion and fraud said his son was a good cop.
Next month, Sgt. Wayne Jenkins along with detectives Daniel Hersl and Marcus Taylor will stand trial on that explosive federal indictment earlier this year.
Tuesday, attorneys argued pretrial motions but come Jan 22, the thee officers will stand trial.
The five other officers indicted last spring have pleaded guilty and at least two are expected to testify against the officers.
