BALTIMORE — Violence starts the week, with early Monday morning shootings that left three injured on Baltimore's east-side.
Police said at 12:01 a.m., Eastern District officers were called to investigate two shooting victims at an area hospital. There, they found a 20-year-old woman who was shot in her right thigh, and a 19-year-old girl with a graze wound to her left calf.
Investigators believed they two were standing on the corner of Rutland Avenue and E. Lafayette Street when a silver four door sedan drove into the block. That's when a suspect in the car started shooting at them, then left scene.
Moments later, officer head shots fired in the area of Belair Road at Chesterfield Avenue at 12:13 a.m. Police said they searched the area and found a 40-year-old man who was shot in his groin area.
He was taken to transported to an area hospital where he is listed as stable.
