A toddler died after the car he was in flipped on the I-170 expressway Monday night.
According to officials, a woman was driving with a two-year-old Eastbound on Route 40 at the Mulberry Street Exit when she lost control of the car and it flipped.
When police got to the scene they found the woman in the car and the toddler who had been ejected from the car, unresponsive. The woman told police the toddler had unbuckled himself during the drive.
Police say they do not think the toddler unbuckling his car seat had anything to do with the crash.
Medics took the two-year-old to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Crash team investigators are still trying to see what caused the crash. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to call investigators at (410) 396-2606.
