BALTIMORE — Police are investigating two West Baltimore shootings Saturday night.
At 7:36 p.m., officers responded to "Shot Spotter" alerts in the 1100 block of Winchester Street. On the scene, they found a 57-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic was summoned and transported the victim to an area hospital.
Almost 10 minutes later, officers heard gunfire while patrolling in the area near the 800 block of West Lexington Street. After searching the area, they found a 22-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. An officer on the scene applied a tourniquet and summoned a medic. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
It is not determined if the shootings were related.
Citywide Shooting detectives are leading the investigation of both shootings.
