BALTIMORE — Two people were killed within minutes of each other in Baltimore on Monday.
On Monday at about 1:00 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 6400 block of Walther Avenue for a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 51-year-old woman with several stab wounds to the body. Medics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Detectives have taken a suspect into custody. The case remains open and ongoing.
About six minutes later, Western District patrol officers responded to the 800 block of West Lexington Street for a report of a shooting.
When officers got to the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
