Two shootings happened 5 minutes apart in Park Heights, leaves victims injured

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two shootings on the city's West-side.

At 5:16 p.m., police were called to a shooting in the 4400 block of Towanda Avenue in Park Heights. When they arrived to the scene, officers found a 28-year old man with a bullet wound this upper body.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to the department, five minutes later and less than two miles away from the shooting in Towanda Avenue, officers responded to a shooting in the 5500 block of Park Heights Avenue. There, they found a 30-year-old man who was shot in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police did not say if the two incidents were related.
