BALTIMORE — The Baltimore City Department of Housing & Community Development is making funds available from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund to support new construction of affordable rental housing and/or rehabilitation of existing rental projects.

They're making up to $2 million in funds available.

“Promoting the production of quality affordable housing is essential to the vitality of Baltimore City and a key reason I fought tirelessly for the creation of the Affordable Housing Trust Fund,” stated Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young. “I’m pleased that these funds are starting to flow into the marketplace and with the specific purpose of providing affordable housing for the residents of our city.”

Eligible applicants for this NOFA can request a maximum of $750,000 per project. Trust funds can be used to fund up to 33 percent of a project’s total development costs.
