BALTIMORE (WMAR) — A Baltimore man shot during a dispute in late January has died.

Andre Giles, 31, was shot on January 28 in the 400 block of E. Baltimore Street. On Monday morning doctors called detectives to notify them that Giles had died of his injuries.

On the same day Giles was shot, police found and arrested the alleged shooter, 34-year-old Traevon George, in the 600 block of Water Street.

Police say they will look to upgrade his charges from attempted murder to first degree murder.

Giles's murder is the 34th this year in Baltimore, which is five more than at the same time in 2019.
