Violence plagues Baltimore's East side, leaving one dead

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating overnight violence on the city's East side.

At 10:04 p.m. officers responded to a Shotspotter alert detected in the 1200 block of North Potomac Street. When police arrived, they search the area and found 20-year-old Ricardo James who was shot in the groin.

He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

In the Norther District, officers were called to a reported shooting in the 4700 block of Alhambra Avenue at11;08 p.m. On the scene, they found a 22-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach and a 43-year-old n who was shot in his left leg.

Police said both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

At 12:08 a.m., Wednesday, police were notified a that a shooting victim was taken to an area hospital. There, they found a 26-year-old man with a non-life threatening injury to theft thigh.

Northeast District shooting detectives leading the investigation were able to determine that this incident took place at the corner of Belair Road and Brendan Avenue.
