BALTIMORE — Fire officials are investigating a fatal house fire Southwest Baltimore Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to a fire at 64 S. Morley Street, shortly after 12:30 a.m. On the scene, crews saw the heavy flames on the second floor.
After knocking out the fire, officials said a body of an adult woman was found on the second floor. Police later identifed the victim as 50-year-old Tinesha Young. Her death was later reclassified as a homicide. Police said an autopsy by the Medical Examiner determined Tinesha Young was asphyxiated. Baltimore Police spokesman Jeremy Silbert said police are working with the fire department to determine if the fire was intentionally set.
