BALTIMORE — According to Baltimore City Fire, a woman is in critical condition following an early morning fire.
Shortly after 5 a.m., on Tuesday, crews responded to the 400 block of S. Wickham Road for a report of a fire. Once on the scene, units spotted smoke and fire showing from a 2-story occupied apartment building. There were also reports that someone was trapped inside the home.
After firefighters gained entry and extinguished the fire, they found an adult woman, on the second floor, in cardiac arrest.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
This fire is currently under investigation and officials say that they had the fire under control at 5:40 a.m.
