Baltimore County Police are investigating a string of crimes committed by a 16-year-old boy in Catonsville Thursday morning.
The teen is being investigated for arson, assault, and trespassing.
Police were called to the 900 block of Bardswell Road for a house fire at 10:30 a.m. Crews on the scene discovered the fire had been set intentionally. They were able to put it out in less than 10 minutes.
The teen was later seen with a weapon chasing a man on Bardwell Road in the direction of Johnnycake Elementary School, according to police.
The school said the teen walked into the building, but did not have a weapon, and attempted to steal things from inside.
He was approached by school officials and left. He was arrested shortly after on Vanderwood Road.
Charges are pending against the 16-year-old.
