Two people are dead after one of them was driving the wrong way on I-695 early Thursday morning.
Maryland State Police say a driver was going the wrong way on the Baltimore Beltway near Liberty Rd just before 2 a.m. when they struck another vehicle; both drivers died from their injuries.
Lanes were closed while police investigated but have since reopened. Troopers say Jorene Long, 88, from York, PA, was driving the wrong way on the inner loop andwhen she hit Sedrick L. Beasley, 54, head-on.
It is still unknown at this time why Long entered the inner loop of I-695 in the wrong direction.
