ESSEX, Md. — According to Baltimore County Police, a 20-year-old man suffered minor injuries after colliding with a Baltimore County Police vehicle in Essex.

The incident happened at around 2:10 p.m., on 137 Back River Neck Road when detectives noticed a drug deal taking place in the shopping center. They went to approach the suspect, but he ran.

Officers gave chase and the suspect somehow collided with a moving police car. Police say that they don't know exactly how the collision happened.

After initially refusing to be taken to hospital, the suspect resigned and allowed a medic to transport him to a local hospital.
