BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a Friday evening shooting that involved two neighbors.

At about 6:40 p.m., officers were called to the 4300 block of Butler Road for a burglary turned shooting. They found out that an intoxicated 31-year-old woman walked onto the front porch of a residence. The homeowner, an 80-year-old man, then came to the front door and asked the woman to leave his property. She refused and forced her way into his home.

After she got into the home, he shot her. She was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment for a gunshot wound to the lower body, but she is expected to survive her injuries.

After doing some investigating, police learned that the woman actually lives near the homeowner.

Baltimore County Police Violence Crimes Unit detectives are continuing to investigate this incident and more information will be provided once the woman is formally charged.
