81-year-old missing from Parkville senior living community found dead

PARKVILLE, Md. (WMAR) — Baltimore County Police say an 81-year-old man who went missing from a senior living community, has been found dead.

Family of David Albert Reeves reported him missing on Wednesday evening, after security at the Oak Crest Senior Living Center Community couldn't locate him.

Police unsuccessfully used cameras, helicopters, and search dogs to try and find Reeves.

However just before 9 a.m. Thursday, Reeves was found in a ravine in a densely wooded area near the end of Woodcove Court in Parkville.

Police haven't released an official cause of death.

Oak Crest released the following statement in response to Reeves's death.

"We are deeply saddened about the passing of resident David Reeves, who was an independent living resident at the community for nearly four years. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family and friends of Mr. Reeves during this difficult time. Since yesterday, the community worked tirelessly and in partnership with the Baltimore County Police Department in its extensive search efforts. Any further questions regarding this incident should be directed to the police department’s public information office."
