BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A local retailer has stepped up to honor first responders in Maryland.
American Freight has donated furniture to The Baltimore County Fire Department in part of their nationwide effort to thank brave men and women that protect our communities.
"They don't always get the support as far as funding and so forth as need. If we can make their night or a day a little better that's what we're here to do, " Maurice Sinan, Regional Sales Manager of American Freight.
The donation is greatly appreciated by the Baltimore County Fire Department. "When American Freight reached out to us, I was ecstatic because that's going to afford an opportunity for a refrigerator or in this case a refrigerator, a sofa, a loveseat. They are absolutely in love with them and so very thankful," Chief Joanne Rund says.
Fire stations are always looking for donations. If you have new or gently used household items, furniture, appliances, contact your local department to see if they could use them.
