TOWSON, Md. (WMAR) — A Baltimore County Police officer has been charged following an off-duty domestic related dispute Monday morning.
Frank Wilcox, 35, allegedly forced his way into a home in the 7400 block of Blevins Way, and pushed down one of the homeowners.
The incident reportedly began as an argument over a domestic issue.
Other witnesses were able to get Wilcox out of the home before police arrived.
He later turned himself in, and is being held without bail on third degree burglary and second degree assault charges.
Wilcox is a 17-year veteran of the department and was last assigned to the White Marsh Precinct.
Police say he's currently suspended without pay.
“The officers of the Baltimore County Police Department are obligated to not only enforce the law but to uphold the law in both their professional and personal lives. The allegations that have been made in this case are serious and very concerning, they are not representative of the values and ethics of the many officers and professional staff of the Baltimore County Police Department who dedicate their lives to ensuring the safety of others," said Corporal Shawn Vinson.
