DUNDALK, Md. — A 6-year-old girl who wandered away from home was found in a stream Friday afternoon in cardiac arrest and later died from her injuries.
Baltimore County Police say the child, who is autistic and non-verbal wandered away from the home at around 3:50 p.m. and was found by an officer in a stream just behind the Merritt Park Baptist Church.
Police say the officer began CPR, which they continued in route and at the hospital.
She was pronounced dead at 5:50 p.m.
