Baltimore County officer recognized after helping citizen with mental health crisis

PERRY HALL, Md. — A Baltimore County officer is being recognized for his life saving actions after he was able to help a person having a mental health crisis a few days ago.

A man who was involved with the situation as peer support posted about Officer Kemp on the Perry Hall neighbors page. He said the officer smiled and listened to the person who was having the crisis, eventually allowing them to get the help they needed.

According to the man, this is the second time the officer has helped someone having a mental health crisis. Hundreds of people commented on the post, commending the officer.
