ESSEX, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting in Essex.
The department said officers responded to a shooting Monday at around 11:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Kingston Road.

According to police, they found a 29-year-old man that was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
The suspected who fled the scene, following the shooting, has been taken into custody. His identity, however, is being withheld pending formal charges.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim and suspect are acquainted and have had an ongoing personal dispute that resulted in Monday's shooting.
The Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit is continuing their investigation on this shooting.
