Baltimore County Police are investigating an officer involved crash that took place in the 8200 block of Liberty Road.
Police say the officer was handling a crash in the westbound lane of Liberty Road when he and the driver from the initial crash were struck by another vehicle.
They were both taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
