TOWSON, Md. — Dozens of Baltimore County residents took part in a reopen rally on Friday.
It was put together by Reopen Baltimore County. Organizers say the proposed legislation before the county council giving the county executive the ability to extend the stay at home order an additional 45 days is improper and unconstitutional.
"Our independence that we have as a nation is trying to be taken away from us. That is why we're here today. We all need to continue to fight and fight with vigor."
Organizers say the bill would set a dangerous precedent allowing local government to supersede state law.
