TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County's top health official, Dr. Gregory Wm. Branch has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Branch said he decided to get tested after experiencing a mild cough and voice loss.
Branch said he is self isolating at home, but is continuing to work while recovering.
Unsure of how or where he contracted the virus, Branch said his diagnosis should be a reminder of how contagious it is, and a warning to wear face coverings and maintain social distancing.
