TOWSON, Md. (WMAR) — On Friday, Baltimore County Public Schools announced minor changes to the remainder of this year's school calendar.

On Tuesday, February 4 all schools will be closed for the special 7th Congressional District election, formerly held by the late Elijah Cummings.

Baltimore City Schools already announced more than 70 closures related to the election.

With the closure, the last day of school for Baltimore County students will now be moved from June 19 to June 22.

The school system is also seeking approval from the State Board of Education to open for Presidents Day on February 17 to make up for an emergency closure last year on December 16.
