DUNDALK, Md. (WMAR) — An on-duty Baltimore County Police officer and another driver were hurt Monday evening following a two car crash in Dundalk.
It happened just before 10 p.m. in the area of Sollers Point Road and Waymouth Way.
The officer was driving north in his police cruiser when he tried making a left onto Waymouth and was hit from behind.
Police say the collision caused the patrol car to cross back over into the northbound lane and strike two parked cars.
The other vehicle, a Chevy Aveo ended up crashing into a tree on the southbound side of the road.
Both the officer and Chevy driver were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Baltimore County Police Crash Team detectives are looking into what factors contributed to this crash.
