DUNDALK, Md. — Some people were recently impacted by a card skimming device that was attached to a MECU ATM at 7220 Holabird Ave. in Dundalk.
No personal information like names, addresses or social security numbers have been compromised.
Anyone who used that ATM should check their bank statement. MECU says they will reimburse members.
The credit union is encouraging members to follow some safety tips:
- Always check your surroundings before using the machine
- Cover the keypad when entering your pin number
- Check for any loose items on the ATM or anything you feel is out of place
- If your card cannot go into the car dip smoothly, do not perform a transaction
