ROSEADLE, Md. — Charging documents allege a man stabbed to death on his front porch last week was having an affair with the suspect's wife.

Denys Javie Hernandez-Martinez, 32, was found Thursday morning in a parking lot on Capella Court in Rosedale.

Police spoke with the victim's girlfriend who said he'd been in a relationship with the wife of Carlos Alexander Chavez-Alvarez, who he knew through his sister.

The girlfriend said the two approached Martinez about the affair at his home a month ago.

A phone left on the murder scene was found to belong to Carlos Alexander Chavez-Alvarez and his family.

Later in the day Baltimore County Police arrested Alvarez, and he confessed to the stabbing.

He's currently being held without bail on first degree murder charges.
