ESSEX, Md. — An adult and three children were taken to the hospital after escaping a house fire in Essex Tuesday morning.
It happened just after 8 a.m. on Clipper Road.
Arriving crews found heavy smoke coming from the home.
Luckily all occupants and their dogs had already made it. Unfortunately, three cats are reportedly missing.
The victims suffered smoke inhalation, but are expected to survive.
Firefighters were able to contain the flames in less than 20 minutes.
The cause and extent of damage is under investigation.
