HALETHROPE, Md. (WMAR) — A CSX train struck and killed a pedestrian early Thursday morning in Baltimore County.
It happened around 3:49 a.m. on the railroad tracks near Hammonds Ferry Road and Clyde Avenue in Halethorpe.
CSX officials say the pedestrian was not authorized to be on the tracks at the time of the incident.
No one aboard the train was injured.
The crash initially caused significant delays to the MTA's MARC Camden Line train.
