KINGSVILLE, Md. — Officers have confirmed that the driver of the Chrysler 300 that caught fire in the May 1 crash on Raphel Road has died.

The driver, who has now been identified as 39-year-old Walter Paul Ross, Jr., of the 1200 block of Pulaski Highway, was pulled from the vehicle by witnesses that stopped to help following the crash. Ross was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Burn Center, but he ended up dying on Wednesday at around 4:30 p.m.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is still working to determine what factors contributed to this crash.
