Drunk driver strikes, kills pedestrian

A suspected drunk driver struck and killed a pedestrian early Saturday morning in Middle River.

Just before 1 a.m., Baltimore County Police responded to Martin Boulevard near Compass Road, where they found 51-year-old Jeremy Warfield McCoy, who was pronounced dead on scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed McCoy was standing on the shoulder of Martin Boulevard when a 2005 Chevy Malibu crossed the white fog line, hitting McCoy.

The 32-year-old female driver, remained on scene and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
