Eight people were hurt Saturday night when an ambulance heading to an emergency was involved in an accident in Dundalk.

Four of the victims were members of the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Company. A female EMT was one of the most seriously injured. She was taken to Shock Trauma with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Three other EMS providers, two men and woman, were released from the hospital Saturday night.

The civilians, including two children, were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash happened at Wise Avenue and Lynch Road around 8 p.m. when the ambulance—enroute to a crash—collided with an SUV.

The Baltimore County Crash Team is investigating.
