BALTIMORE COUNTY — An emu has died after escaping in Baltimore County.
Officers responded to a call for an animal complaint in the 3300 block of Ben Valley Road around 9:47 a.m. where found an emu walking through neighborhood yards.
Being familiar with an emu farm in the area, officers called to Lynn's Farm and Nature Center and verified that an emu had escaped from a fenced yard.
Officers kept an eye on the escaped emu until employees from the farm arrived and took control of the emu in the 8600 block of Liberty Road.
Unfortunately, after the employees from the farm restrained the emu to return it to the farm, it died from apparent stress and exhaustion
