Baltimore County Police are investigating a crash that has left one person dead and three others injured.
A passenger car was traveling southbound on Interstate 83 Friday evening.
The vehicle failed to stay within the driving lane, causing the car to drift into another lane and strike a guardrail.
A tractor trailer traveling in the same lane the car had veered into was unable to stop and subsequently stuck the rear of the vehicle.
The driver and two passengers were transported to WellSpan York Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other passenger was flown to University Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead at 7:28 p.m.
All highway lanes were closed for approximately five hours due to the crash.
Trooper McGee is the primary investigator for this collision.
